Why choose a coworking hall over a hotel function room?
Five practical reasons, updated from when we first wrote this piece in 2021. Price: you pay for the room by the hour, not a per-pax banquet minimum. Flexible blocks: book one hour, three, five or the full day, and run weekly sessions without a contract. Working AV as standard: projector or big screen, PA, whiteboards and WiFi 7 are in the room, not a chargeable add-on delivered by a third party. Atmosphere: a working coworking floor brings energy and, for public events, walk-up curiosity that a hotel corridor never will. Speed: the room is already set up; confirm, choose a layout (theatre, classroom, U-shape or clusters), and you are done.
What does an event hall cost in KL and PJ?
Our two halls, priced in full. Sri Petaling (up to 60 pax): RM450 for one hour, RM1,250 for three hours, RM1,850 for five, RM2,850 for the full day. Bandar Sunway (up to 100 pax): RM550 for one hour, RM1,500 for three hours, RM2,200 for five, RM3,200 for the full day. Both include the AV, WiFi and furniture, with theatre, classroom, U-shape or cluster layouts set before you arrive. The Sri Petaling hall includes a whiteboard; Sunway's hall is the bigger, launch-scale room.
What about food and drinks?
We arrange catering for you, from full menus to light refreshments, and the in-house barista side can keep coffee flowing for a morning seminar. If you bring your own outside caterer instead, a RM300 surcharge applies, waived when it is just light refreshments, and events involving food carry a RM150 cleaning fee. Practical translation: tell us your budget per head and let us arrange it; it is usually the cheaper and easier path.
Can you run an event after office hours?
Yes. The halls book beyond the 9am to 6pm staffed window with a RM150 out-of-hours surcharge, and the air conditioning stays included, which is precisely the line item that surprises people in tower venues. Evening product launches, night classes and community dinners all run here regularly.
What events fit a coworking venue, and what does not?
Fits beautifully: product launches and media days to 100 pax, training cohorts and seminars, team offsites and town halls, community meetups, recording days and photoshoots. For smaller sessions, our meeting rooms seat 6 to 30 from RM48 an hour, including a 30-pax training room at RM1,100 for a full day. What does not fit: black-tie galas, 300-pax conferences and anything needing a hotel ballroom's staging rig; for those, the hotel really is the right tool.
