Sandbox Space Bandar Sunway is our PJ branch: a full coworking floor five minutes' walk from Sunway University and Monash, with private offices from RM780 a month, dedicated desks, hot desks, meeting and training rooms, and a 100-pax event hall. We opened it in September 2022 as the second Sandbox, five years after the original in Sri Petaling, and this page is the honest, current tour in words and photos.

Why did Sandbox open in Bandar Sunway?
Because our members kept driving from the PJ side. Sri Petaling had run full since 2017, and when we mapped where tours came from, the LDP kept pointing at the same township: two universities feeding young companies, Sunway Pyramid and the medical centre anchoring daily life, and no coworking space nearby doing what we do, community first, prices published. So we took a shopfront ten minutes' walk from campus and built the second Sandbox there.
What workspaces does the Sunway branch have?
The full ladder. Private offices from 1 to 8 pax (RM780 to RM4,640 a month, all-in), dedicated desks at RM530 where your setup stays overnight, and hot desks at RM400 or by RM28 day pass. Every monthly plan gets 24/7 access through the Salto app with air conditioning you switch on yourself, WiFi 7 on a 2+1 Gbps failover setup, and a business address with mail handling. The desks sit side by side here, so small teams can hold a row together.
What about meetings, training and events?
Three bookable rooms and a hall. MR1 seats 10 (RM78/hour), MR2 seats 12 (RM88/hour), and the training room takes 13 to 30 pax in rows, U-shape or clusters at RM148/hour or RM1,100 for a full 9am to 6pm day, the room where weekly tuition cohorts and corporate trainings run on repeat. Past 30 people, the event hall takes up to 100 pax, and it has already hosted an ASUS product launch and TikTok Shop seller seminars.
What is the barista coffee about?
The Sunway branch has an in-house barista bar, and members drink freshly brewed black coffee free. It started as an opening-week gesture and never left, because it turned the pantry corner into the place where the floor actually meets. Day pass visitors get the regular free-flow coffee and water like at Sri Petaling; the barista pour is the members' perk.
Who works here now?
A mix the township explains by itself: founders and small teams in the offices, remote workers and freelancers on the desks, student-adjacent businesses near their market, and training companies cycling through the big room weekly. It stays family-friendly and first-name-basis; that community-first culture is the thing we carried over from Sri Petaling, and the reason the two branches feel like the same place with different skylines. Four years after opening, the Bandar Sunway branch runs private offices for 1 to 8 people from RM780 a month, hot desks at RM400, dedicated desks at RM530 and RM28 day passes (RM18 for students). It has three bookable rooms: MR1 for 10 at RM78 an hour or RM590 a day, MR2 for 12 at RM88 or RM690, and the Training Room for 13 to 30 at RM148 or RM1,100 a day, plus the event hall for 40 to 100 from RM1,500 for 3 hours.
